The Story
Seiko 5 Heritage Re-Creation SRPL93K Automatic – Limited Edition
The Seiko SRPL93K is a faithful re-creation of the iconic 6119-8460 worn by NASA’s Chief Flight Director Gene Kranz during the historic Apollo 11 and 13 missions. This limited-edition model pays tribute to Seiko’s legacy in space history and the unsung heroes behind the scenes.
Staying true to the original 1960s design, the watch features a 38.2mm stainless-steel cushion case, a bi-directional rotating bezel, and a black dial with the return of the vintage shield-style “5” logo. It also includes a paddle-tipped seconds hand, dual-curved Hardlex crystal, and a unique split-colour day-date window for added character.
Powered by the modern Calibre 4R36 automatic movement, this timepiece brings added reliability with manual winding, hacking seconds, and a 41-hour power reserve. The stainless-steel bracelet, three-fold clasp with push-button release, and 100 metres of water resistance complete the piece, while drilled lugs allow for easy strap changes.
Limited to 9,999 pieces worldwide, the SRPL93K blends space-age heritage with contemporary performance.
